weekly 2: great start

I released CampInJapan.com a week ago and was blessed with already 300+ visitors. For the launch i mainly focused on sharing articles on Facebook and Reddit dedicated van life in Japan groups. Facebook gave great results but I didn’t manage to make any meaningful return with Reddit. Facebook probably worked better I spend more time there..

But forget about it. The most important part of our weekly updates is.. How do I feel? I do feel great! I’ve been building everyday, experimenting even more with AI, marketing and enjoying life. I do use extensively AI for building features on the website and get feedback. I write all content by hand as the AI slop is super bad about niche topics like this.. (for now?)

I managed to write even more guides about van life in Japan but also blog posts like how to find great hiking spots in Japan and highlighted the work of a videographer I follow since few years and compiled a list of parking spots for people looking to visit Tokyo with a campervan. I worked on several features: forum, travel log (let people save their favorite spots). I’m still wondering how this project can make money but I’m not worried if I manage to position good in the Japanese vanlife niche for the long time.

This week I did the first surf of the year. A little bit late and I chose the coldest day to go… But amazing waves and great feeling exiting the water in cold wind feeling like a new man.

For the following days I’m home alone as the circus (how I call the family I manage) went up toTokyo to spend time with the grand parents before we go on a trip. So expect more creativity and building! Hopefully I can cook good and keep an healthy rythm while I’m alone!

This week I listened again an old freestyle session of French reggae artists:

See ya next week!
